Fate/Zero hit the net

With a force close to Excalibur itself, Fate/Zero, the sequel to the awesome, but rather dated, Fate/Stay-Night, has hit the internet.

Treasure of the Rudras

Okay, so I need to post more. I get it. I'll start up again with an awesome SNES RPG I found today called Treasure of the Rudas. For the most part, it's fairly standard JPRG fare, though not much of a surprise, since its made by Squaresoft(for you younger folks, thats Square Enix before they became Square Enix), but it has a few interesting twists in terms of gameplay. There are three different scenarios, and you have 16 days(ish) to prevent the end of the world. The magic system is really different too. Instead of standard games, where you learn/buy/etc spells, you can put together spells at any time outside of combat. You can even have the strongest spells in the game before the first boss(but good luck casting them with 5MP). Heres a gameplay video. It does have some spoilers, but not many.

I hope...

An Interesting Double Post

Wow, almost nothing for weeks, and now I have several things to post. Aside from finally getting my first Retro Review Game Time up, I have a piece of interesting news.

As most of you will (hopefully) know, the business half(meaning companys and reporters only) of the Tokyo Game Show (Japans E3) finished a few days ago, and the show has opened to the public. However, something interesting came out of TGS; a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.

Retro Game Review Time: Super Metroid

Time for the first Retro Game Review Time. So sorry its close to two weeks late. Anyways, we'll start with something nice and simple; Super Metroid.

Time for a change

I've finally decided that enough is enough, and that I'm finally going to start doing stuff with this blog. I've decided that I'm going to do reviews, mostly focused on video games, but I'll be throwing in anime and tv shows as well. I'll also be reposting video game news, mostly from kotaku.com.au(the American version is useless, but the Australian one is good quality.)

I haven't decided on a full schedule, but Thursdays will be Retro Game Review Time. Stick around(unless you have a world to save, in which case, what the hell are you doing reading an obscure blog?!) and the first RGRT will be up.

Hopefully...

Terraria 1.0.6

Huzzah! The long overdue 1.0.6 update has finally landed for Terraria. Now if you excuse my, I'm going to finish up putting off putting up a post and go play Terraria a while.

Or maybe a long while

...Fuck...

Of Vampires, Bags, and Two Posts in a Day

My first real content post, and its on the same day as my first. Odd. I've thought of blogs as more of a once-a-day kind of deal, but I guess since the last one was just an introduction, I can get away with it just this once.

Today, I'll talk about my current DS games that I'm playing.

Of Introductions, Myself and This Blog

Huzzah!(I'm feeling very Balrog lately. I'm sure it's just a phase, and will probably pass soon, and if you don't know who Balrog is, either shoot yourself in the foot for not having played Cave Story, go and play Cave Story, or both.)

...

Darn it, now I want to play Cave Story...

Anyways, question one I'm sure you have. "Who is this crazy insane person thats rambling on before my eyes?" Thankfully, that's the easy bit. I'm Zodiark13, occasionally going by TraderJollTaw. Next question; "What is this madman doing on a blog?" Well, I actually feel like I'm stretching here, but I'll answer your un-asked question, oh mysterious stranger. I've been meaning to make a blog for some time now, and I've finally been bothered to actually make one. What this blog is about is in the title; Castles(Video Games), Spaceships(Sci-Fi), and Gravity Defying Hair(Anime). (FYI, I was thinking time machines instead of spaceships, but that wouldn't fit the title, and "Of Castles, TARDIS's, and Gravity Defying Hair" is too messy.)

Now, of course, be forewarned now that there WILL BE SPOILERS. I will announce what I'm talking about if not in the title of a post then fairly soon into the post, so no excuses. If I'm mentioning something because I know not many other people know of it, like reviews, I will try to be light on spoilers, but elsewhere they will fall like cheese.

I think that covers it, so I'll leave you with a random quote from a random book pulled at random from my bookshelf;

"In an hours time, you three will have defeated an alien race and saved the colony. And all in time for tea."
